Probiotic For Vibriosis

Vibriosis (luminescent bacterial disease) is caused by Vibrio harveyi and later associated with many secondary infections. When Hydrogen sulphide content in pond soil and water is high, accumulation and activity of Vibrio sp. is accelerated. It oxydises NH3, S and Fe as source of its energy. It thrives well in saline condition. Again when Hydrogen sulphide content is high, pH of soil and water also increases, which is favourable for active multiplication of Vibrio. Thus, for solving the problem of Vibriosis, soil and water should be optimized at desirable conditions.

Dosage

Prevention

  • With water : 500 gm. / Acre
  • Application: Dissolve the required quantity in 50 liters of water thoroughly and spread all over the pond.
  • With feed: 2 gm. / Kg of feed, daily one feed for a week days.
  • Application: Mix the required quantity in feed with binder and shade dry for 5 minutes before application

    • Treatment

  • With water : 1 Kg / Acre
  • Application: Dissolve the required quantity in 50 liters of water, thoroughly and spread all over the pond.
  • With feed: 2 gm. per Kg of feed, daily 2 feeds for a week days.
  • Application: Mix the required quantity in feed with binder and shade dry for 5 minutes before application

    • Dosage may be adjusted as per instructions given by aquaculture consultants.

    Concentration

    25 Billion CFU/gm This product contains naturally occurring beneficial microorganisms CFU25billion per gram, which are cultured in well sanitized, laboratory, following ISO standards. It is a blend of pure strains of microorganisms. It contains microorganisms, which act against Vibrio thereby eliminating from the pond ecosystem and also making the nature of the pond hostile to Vibrio but friendly to the culturing stock. The microbe also keeps the pond water and soil clean, devoid of fouling agents.

    Uses

    • The microorganisms compete in growth with Vibrio sp.,bringing down Vibrio population
    • They have bactericidal effect, which target especially pathogenic Vibrio sp.
    • The organisms also produce exudates, which keep the culture animals free from other secondary infections.
    • They also keep the pond clean by digesting organic matter and reducing H2S, NH3 and other toxic materials.
